With this holiday season ensuring that gamers are going to be filled up to their heads with games, what game discs occupy your console /PC?

At the moment I'm playing:

MGS2 (ps2)- just revisiting the story till I get my hands on MGS3

GTA SA(ps2)

VIewtiful Joe(ps2)- prolly the best looking cell shaded game to date

Doom3 (pc)-lags a bit,but who cares?

I just finished playing Shadow Hearts: Covenant which is one of the best RPGs ever made. It easily trumps any of the Final Fantasy games in terms of gameplay, storyline and emotional effect. This game is a must-play for any RPG fan.

At the moment I am going through the Premier League in FIFA2005 (as Manchester United of course) in Professional mode and am planning to shift to World Class mode soon. I also dabble in Viewtiful Joe which is one of the coolest looking platform games I’ve ever played. I also have to try out Beyond Good And Evil.

So many games… too little time. My gaming has basically taken a back seat ever since Charm landed in Abu Dhabi :D

Beyond Good and Evil is a FANTASTIC game... HIGHLY underrated... It's pretty short but it's well worth the time and the unusually low price u can get it for now...

Just Silent Hill 4 on the PS2 here I'm afraid.

Yes I am very sure and I am quite a RPG freak.

First, to answer your question... Yes it does come on two CDs and the total game time provided you NOT do the side-quests is something like 30-35 hours. If you do the side quests the game time would go to over 40 hours. What I suggest is that you first finish the game without doing the side quests and then load a save game from before facing the final boss and then do all the side-quests.

The game is undoubtedly one of the best RPGs ever made and easily trumps any of the Final Fantasy games. The storyline is very captivating and what makes it so exciting is how well the cutscenes are pulled off using the in-game engine. Honestly, I felt like I was watching a great mini-series on TV sometimes.

There is also the combat system which is so far ahead of any of the FF games that I doubt I can play any more of them until they implement a similar system. Unlike FF where you jsut select a course of action and perform it, in SHC there is the Judgement Ring and how you hit the different areas of the ring determines how well your attacks come off. This way there is a lot of strategy AND skill involved. It may sound confusing but trust me it takes less than 5 minutes to understand, but mastering it is what makes you really good.

I have played all of the great RPGs and SHC ranks as the best i've seen in terms of gameplay and only falls behind Planescape: Torment in terms of storyline. A modern day classic!
