rumour has it that Apple may launch the products today but they might not be available for a while due to problems with the new cameras in the ipods.

the Zune will be nice BUT the lack of applications at least right now will certainly affect it.

There's no denying that the ZuneHD is an attractive competitor and this design in particular is far more compelling than their previous offerings which often fell short when compared to the Ipod in terms of weight, design and thickness. However, we have yet to see the Zune's real power unlike the Ipod Touch which has been proven to do well all around. I just hope they improve their software because the sync software on the older Zunes sucked when compared to Itunes.

Camera is a definite, unknown if it will be 3.2 like the iphone3GS though. Also the camera is why the rumour is out that the release of the ipod touch 3rd gen stock will be delayed.

now why would a camera on the mp3 player be useful? No one owns a phone without a camera, and chances are that your phone's pic quality will outdo the itouch's one (unless you own an iphone :nonono2: )

the ipod nano has the integ. video recorder lolz ... the touch ipod has no new designs ... but a 64 gb for 399 dollaz is now available

the rumours were that the ipod touch with camera had some problems. I'm guessing they dumped/delayed it til next year. The "new" ipod touch is dissappointing, clearly the worst Apple event ever!

Zune HD all the way, Apple tried, yet no good results.

Besides, if the new iPod Touch would have had a microphone and a 3.2MP camera, it would have easily crushed the iPhone. When I used to have my old iPhone, I used to walk around in my grandfather's house with all my cousins there, and they're pretending their iPod Touch 8GB 1G is almost as good as my iPhone for some reason. It's either an iPhone or a Zune HD, don't go for an iPod Touch unless your a noob.

Iphone is a crap phone, nothing to do with the OS. they just introduced MMS! this has been standard on every mid to high end phone for YEARS!

Also other manufacturers are beginning to make their push and the new range of rival touchscreen phones are doing really well.

Iphone is like BrawnGP in Formula1, they started out good until the other teams improved their cars and are creeping ahead. The iphone makes a big push in the beginning as other phones can't rival it but the other phones are catching up.

Right... But what's really rivaling with the iPhone as of now? Nokia expected their 5800 to rival the iPhone, once they found that they weren't able to sell iPhones, they came up with the N97... Same as HTC, they release like 10 phones a year and expect them all to crush the iPhone... Apple sticks with the same thing and just upgrades it every year... Every day a new touch-screen phone comes out, and corporates just give up on their products 3 months later.

errrr, nokia have sold millions of 5800s and it hasn't even been a year since launch.

the N97 was in the works long before the 5800 was even released lol you clearly do not have a clue about the business world. While this is Nokia, they still can't just think up a new phone and release it in a few months. It takes a very long time to do that :chuckle:

You also have yet to understand the difference between phone features and OS features. I am not discussing the OS, I am discussing the PHONE!
