I went down from 88 a year back to 82. But trust me, the first step is avoiding cola and cutting off chocolates.
That alone gives you 2 kg off. The rest gets tougher and tougher as the days go by, since your metabolic rate actually goes down for a couple of months (possibly thinking the body's starving and it goes into 'power saving mode') making it all the more tougher.

63kg here... down from 72kg.. my regime = jogging the mamzar route and slight change of diet.

I weighed 90 kgs 2 months ago. Then I lost 10 kgs after a month and now I'm at 80 kgs. Plenty of water, glass of milk every night, fruits, vegetables, walks and homemade food with some fast food 2-3 times a week did that for me. Absolutely no soft drinks. I haven't had any sort of soft drinks in 1+ year now I think. I'm not even doing gym atm since I'm busy with work.

Also I seriously recommend doing a powerwalk past midnight after your dinner for an hour or two when the air's all cool and shit. This one will seriously shape up and harden your body in 2 weeks guaranteed.

Follow Oz's routine and you will definitely loose 10-20 kg.............In two years or so. hehehe

2-3 times a WEEK? Damn. If i did that, i would never loose weight!

As someone said previously, weight loss = no soft drinks or any fatty stuff (basically anything that is tasty). That alone will make you loose weight if you don't want to exercise. I am gyming and dieting for the past one year and have decent success. I would have lost even more weight had i not let it go for a few months. I really wish i hadn't!
